PROJECT MANAGER
The St. Clair County Road Commission currently has an opening for the position of Project Manager. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and be knowledgeable in road and bridge construction and have the ability to communicate effectively with inspection staff and contractors. The qualified individual must be able to read and interpret design plans and make decisions based on the information contained therein. The qualified individual must also be knowledgeable in generating construction pay applications, reviewing daily inspection reports, and maintaining necessary paperwork as required by the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The qualified individual will be responsible for the county bridge maintenance and rehabilitation program.
The successful candidate will be provided with a stable work environment, a competitive wage ($73,300-$81,450, commensurate with experience), a zero-premium employee share health care package, an 8% employer matching retirement program, and a flexible 4-10 work schedule that is available during the summer months.
St. Clair County has among the highest number of boat registrations per capita in the United States and is home to the Annual Port Huron-to-Mackinac Sailboat Race, the largest freshwater sailing event of its kind in the world. With the abundance of water resources, St. Clair County boasts the world's longest freshwater boardwalk along the St. Clair River, which forms the international border between Michigan and Ontario, Canada.
