Business Developmental Coordinator, Public Safety & Community Initiatives Location: Franklin Road Campus South Penn Campus Salary Range: $63,420.00-$64,700.00 Work Period: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. General Job Description: Responsible for coordination and implementation of activities and programs that support public safety agencies and community organizations located in located in the Moore Norman Technology Center District and Greater Oklahoma City Metro Area. Under limited supervision, performs skilled level duties to interact with and analyze the training needs of, and provide relevant training to public safety agencies and local community entities. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity, and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Education: Bachelor's Degree required Special Knowledge, Skill, or Ability: Leadership ability Presentation/Delivery skills Budgetary Knowledge Reasoning ability Ability to evaluate Excellent oral and written communication skills Satisfactory personal conduct and integrity Ability to work well with others Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance Problem solving skills Possess good organizational and analytical skills Must have intermediate experience in computer applications Experience: Four years current industry experience Credentials: Valid Oklahoma driver's license and acceptable driving record Essential Duties and Responsibilities Can Include: 1. Strengthens relationships by developing students and clients and staff, partnering with businesses and schools and collaborating with community leaders through participating in school or community activities. 2. Focuses on being a leader within the organization through personal accountability, active problem solving and positive forward thinking. 3. Focuses on continual improvement to assure quality products and excellent services to our customers and stakeholders. 4. Assess and determine business and industry client needs using appropriate tools and processes. 5. Recruit, select, evaluate and develop human resources to support delivered services to meet customer requirements. 6. Market business and industry training services and support economic development activities to increase client activity and tax base. 7. Coordinate development and/or selection of curricula, equipment and facilities to support training interventions that meet customer expectations. 8. Manage delivery of TIP, industry specific training and other services to satisfy customers. 9. Establish and maintain client relationship and participate in civic and economic development activities to increase and enhance exposure to the community. 10 Develop, complete and submit reports to provide accurate data in a timely manner. 11. Work collaboratively to promote short term and full time programs that meet client needs. 12. Coordinates use of district resources with business/industry training needs and establishes a cooperative working relationship with employees. 13. Attends conferences, seminars, and in-service training to maintain knowledge in relevant areas. Continues to stay abreast of current field. 14. Conducts public relations speaking engagements regarding Moore Norman Technology Center. 15. Works on various committees with staff to enhance the system. Plans for future community training needs and marketing strategies. 16. Inputs class schedule into Careertech Student Information System CTSIS 17. Performs other duties as assigned.
