Frostburg State University Police Department, a progressive and pro-active agency, seeks individuals interested in working in a true Community Policing environment. The University Police Officer I (UPO I) starts at an annual salary of $39,732.00; after successful completion of a one-year probationary period, the position promotes to a UPO II, at the annual salary of $45,432.00. Additional salary consideration given to lateral transfers.
University System of Maryland benefits package includes: · 88-200 hours of accrued annual leave based on years of employment · 112 hours of holidays time · 24 hours of annual personal leave · 120 hours of accrued sick leave · Tuition remission for the employee and immediate family based on established criteria · Excellent health and life insurance Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, valid non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver’s license. Employees in this job class are required to achieve and maintain certification as specified by the Maryland Police Training Commission and must meet the minimum standards of appointment for Probationary Police Officer as established by the Maryland Police Training Commission.
